Phlebotomist, Lab Support Technician

Saint Luke's Mission Farms is looking for a Phlebotomist, Lab Support Technician to support our outpatient lab team.

Shift Details: 6:30am - 5:00pm, Thursdays and Fridays; 8:00am - 12:00pm Saturdays

Responsibilities:

• Collect patient samples in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Documents receipt of patient samples in the LIS/EMR; processes and prepares samples for testing.
• May perform and report basic laboratory testing, as needed.
• Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection
• Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections
