The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors within the Skilled Nursing Facility. This position ensures resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces are cleaned and maintained according to facility policies, infection control standards, and state and federal regulations.
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common areas daily.
Dust, mop, vacuum, sweep, and polish floors and surfaces.
Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly.
Replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, tissues, and toilet paper.
Clean windows, mirrors, walls, furniture, and fixtures as assigned.
Follow proper infection control and isolation procedures.
Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment promptly.
Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are properly used and stored.
Respond promptly and courteously to resident and staff requests.
Maintain confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as needed.
Follow all facility safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
Attend required in-services and training sessions.
