Job Description Job Description Position SummaryThe Product & Process Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting product quality, manufacturing process control, and industrialization activities throughout the product lifecycle. This role works cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure products and production processes meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards.The ideal candidate will have experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), process validation, manufacturing readiness, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & Process QualitySupport product and manufacturing process quality activities throughout the product lifecycleReview and maintain technical documentation including work instructions, specifications, control plans, and acceptance criteriaEnsure compliance with quality standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or other applicable industry requirementsParticipate in product verification, validation, and qualification activitiesRisk Management & Quality ToolsLead or support PFMEA/FMEA activities to identify and mitigate manufacturing and process risksSupport corrective and preventive action activities (CAPA)Participate in PPAP preparation, capability studies, SPC analysis, and root cause investigationsUtilize quality methodologies such as 8D, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement toolsProcess Control & IndustrializationDevelop and maintain control plans, inspection methods, and process verification activitiesSupport manufacturing process development and transition from prototype to productionConduct manufacturing readiness and process feasibility evaluationsAssist with new product introduction (NPI) and production line support activitiesEquipment Validation & Manufacturing SupportSupport equipment commissioning, validation, qualification, and acceptance activitiesHelp define equipment validation protocols and acceptance criteriaTroubleshoot manufacturing and equipment-related quality issues using root cause analysis methodsPartner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to improve process capability and production efficiencyCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Suppliers, Quality, and Operations teamsSupport communication and coordination during product launches and manufacturing transfersAssist suppliers and internal teams with quality-related investigations and process improvementsContinuous ImprovementDrive initiatives focused on improving product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and process stabilitySupport Lean Manufacturing and data-driven improvement projectsContribute to improvements in quality systems, manufacturing processes, and digital tools such as ERP, MES, and QMS platformsEducationBachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines preferred -Industrial EngineeringMechanical EngineeringAerospace EngineeringElectrical/Electronic EngineeringManufacturing EngineeringMaterials EngineeringRelated technical fieldExperience3–7 years of experience in manufacturing quality, process quality, industrialization, or quality engineeringExperience supporting new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing readiness, or process validation activitiesHands-on experience with quality tools such as:PFMEA/FMEAControl PlansPPAPSPCRoot Cause Analysis / 8DLean Manufacturing methodologiesPreferred QualificationsExperience in aerospace, defense, automotive, medical device, electronics, or other regulated manufacturing industriesFamiliarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systemsExperience with SAP, ERP, MES, PLM, or QMS systemsLean Six Sigma Green Belt or related certifications preferredAuditor certifications or APQP/PPAP training a plusSkills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExperience interpreting technical drawings and engineering documentationAdditional InformationAbility to travel as neededManufacturing environment with regular interaction on the production floor
