Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Perfusionist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Allied Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available Opportunity: Perfusionist - Perfusionist Job Details: • MUST have ABCP certification and Missouri perfusionist license required • Minimum 5 years CCP (Certified Clinical Perfusionist) experience required • Must have experience with Spectrum HLM (Heart Lung Machine) • Experience required with Spectrum Quantum pumps and Centrifugal pump head (not roller head) • Adult patients only with average pump time of 2.5 hours • Minimal ECMO experience with Cardiohelp ECMO Pump • Must be willing to take call - on average 2 days per week • Shared weekly/weekend call requirements with 2 perfusionists on call daily • Work with volume of approximately 500 heart surgeries per year • Procedures performed include: CABG, MVR, AVR, Aortic Dissections, TAVR, ECMO initiation • Equipment includes: Spectrum Quantum HLM, CATS Cell Saver, Cardioquip H/C, Cardiohelp • Documentation systems: Viper/Spectrum, Meditech • Work at both Research Medical Center and Overland Park Regional Medical Center • BLS certification required • Excellent verbal communication skills essential Facility: This healthcare organization operates multiple medical centers providing comprehensive cardiac surgery services with a high-volume heart program performing approximately 500 cardiac procedures annually. The perfusion team consists of experienced professionals including 7 full-time and 2 part-time perfusionists with 2 assistants, utilizing advanced equipment and technology for cardiac surgery support.
