At KVC Health Systems, we're looking for a Healthcare Report Developer who will turn data into meaningful insights that support clinical care, operations, and quality improvement across our behavioral health programs.

What You'll Do

As a Healthcare Report Writer, you'll be a key partner for ourclinical and administrative teams:

  • Design, develop and maintain reports and dashboards that support:
    • Clinical operations
    • Administrative decision-making
    • Quality and performance improvement initiatives
  • Work with data from Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other systems to:
    • Extract, clean, and analyze information
    • Build reports on diagnoses, services, outcomes, and utilization trends
  • Triage and resolve report-related tickets, diagnosing issues and implementing solutions in a timely way.
  • Conduct feasibility reviews for report enhancement requests and new reporting needs.
  • Create clear data visualizations (dashboards, charts, graphs) that make complex information easy to understand.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across programs to understand their reporting needs and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all client and organizational data.
What You Bring

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or a related technical/analytical field.
  • Additional degrees or coursework in Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, or other behavioral health disciplines are preferred.
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experiencein:
    • Report writing
    • Data analysis
    • Health information management
  • Experience working with EHR systems in behavioral health settings.
Preferred Technical Skills
  • Advanced SQL for complex queries, data extraction, and report generation.
  • Expert-level Excel, including:
    • Pivot tables
    • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
    • Macros
    • Power Query
    • Advanced formulas
  • Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Credible, WellSky, Epic), especially in behavioral health.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ManageEngine ServiceDesk or similar IT service management tools).
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills to turn raw data into actionable insights.
  • Basic understanding of data warehousing and relational database structures.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake (preferred) or similar.
Behavioral Health & Compliance Knowledge
  • Understanding of behavioral health terminology, DSM-5 diagnoses, and treatment modalities.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health outcome measures (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, ASAM criteria).
  • Prior experience in behavioral health settings is strongly preferred.

Position Summary

The Healthcare Report Writer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports that support clinical operations, leadership decision-making, and quality initiatives at KVC Health Systems. This role focuses on data extraction, analysis, report development, and data visualization across multiple business units and programs.
