Key Responsibilities:
Assist Product Manager with business case and feature development
Collaborates with agile team to decompose features into user stories (non-technical), with appropriate acceptance criteria defined, ensuring all user stories are appropriately recorded in the product/team backlog
Manages and prioritizes the product/team backlog
Ensures traceability between business case/epics, features, and user stories
Understand the scope of enabler work to assist with decision-making and sequencing of technology needed to deliver business functionality
Reviews test cases against acceptance criteria for non-technical user stories
Formally accepts non-technical user stories once all acceptance criteria are met and demonstrated
Actively participates in retrospectives, defect management, and agile team release planning sessions; assists with defining improvement stories that will increase the velocity and quality of the team
Work with other product owners on the agile release train to coordinate dependencies and mitigate risks
Work closely with key stakeholders in and out of the organization to ensure successful product delivery
Understands and considers the financial/budgetary perspective when making decisions
Leads the system demo with the customer/ stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, related field or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience as an Agile Product Owner or as part of an Agile product team
Experience gathering requirements from the client and/or business and documenting in Features and User Stories
Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings effectively with varied audiences, including team planning meetings, with stakeholders, business subject experts, etc.
Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and/or evaluation of business processes required
Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems required (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally
Ability to problem solve even when facing multiple priorities and conflicting, inaccurate, or incomplete data
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of relational databases and database structures
Experience working with User Experience analysis, design and delivery in the context of delivering product value to customers
Demonstrated experience working with internal, transactional systems supporting business activity
