Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Mechanic to support production equipment in a new chemical manufacturing operation. This is an opportunity to join a growing facility at the ground level and help establish reliable maintenance systems in a safe and efficient production environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain industrial production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair 480V electrical systems
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Perform MIG and TIG welding as needed
• Fabricate replacement parts using mills and lathes
• Troubleshoot PLCs and industrial control systems
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Follow OSHA safety standards including LOTO, confined space, and hot work procedures
• Communicate with production teams to quickly resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime

Required Skills

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Experience troubleshooting 480V electrical systems
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• MIG and TIG welding experience
• Machining experience using mills and lathes
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs or industrial control systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Experience working under OSHA safety standards

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in chemical manufacturing, process manufacturing, or regulated industrial environments
• Familiarity with pumps, valves, piping systems, and process equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to climb ladders and work on elevated platforms
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform precision tool work for extended periods
