Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize RF Scanners to ensure accurate inventory management, as required.
• Transport products using hand carts, dollies, and powered industrial equipment.
• Meets performance standards for quality, productivity, reliability, initiative, safety, and work relationships.
• Manually loads and unloads product into/onto platforms, van trailers, flat bed trailers and ocean containers.
• No Travel is required.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 1-3 years of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) experience in a warehouse setting is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand; use fingers and hands to handle, grasp, manipulate, assemble, and feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch, and kneel; talk and hear; bending at waist and is frequently required to stand on hard surfaces for long periods, as well as occasionally being required to balance.
• Position requires moderate to heavy lifting pushing, pulling, and carrying capabilities (46-85 lbs.), and will occasionally require very heavy pushing/pulling and moving of materials (83-315 lbs). Use lifting aids or partner lifts as required per policy and procedures.
• Manually manipulate, push, and pull up to 322 pounds occasionally to or from a hand cart, pallet, or furniture buck for 2 to 10 feet. Use lifting aids or partner lifts as required per policy and procedures.
• Manual dexterity and foot/hand/eye coordination is necessary to control industrial material handling equipment.
• Subject to fluctuating temperatures within the work facility, as impacted by the weather.

Work Environment: Flexsteel is committed to ensuring the health and safety of their workforce. This job is performed in a non-air-conditioned working environment subject to fluctuating temperatures and you may occasionally be exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise. This position will require you to work near powered industrial trucks and equipment and require you to wear personal protective equipment as directed.
