Dance Instructor (Summer Session June 1-August 7) $20/hr

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Dance Instructor to join our team! This position involves teaching a variety of dance stylesincluding ballet, tap, hip-hop, and morein a fun, inclusive, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inspiring dancers of all ages and skill levels, with a particular excitement for working with young dancers ages 39 for Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop.

Position Details:

• Must be 18+
• Two positions needed.
• Saturday mornings (9 AM)
• Weekday afternoons (4 PM)
• Must be available for training in May with summer session starting June 1st and ending Aug 7th
• Must commit to entire summer session
• Starting at $20/hr for qualified candidates
• Ability to teach additional styles is a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead dance classes for ages 318 as well as adults of varying skill levels
• Teach proper technique and form in a variety of dance styles including Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Acrobatics
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans with fun and engaging activities to keep students motivated
• Assess each student's skill level and adapt teaching methods as needed
• Ensure a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment for all participants
• Provide individualized feedback and encouragement to help dancers improve their skills and confidence
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow instructors

Qualifications:

• Background and/or experience in multiple dance styles, with strong knowledge of proper technique and safety guidelines
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Ability to work with children of all ages and skill levels
• Skill in creating and modifying lesson plans to meet student needs
• Passion for teaching dance and inspiring growth and confidence
• Reliable, punctual, and professional with a strong work ethic
• Must pass a background check
