Mid Am Building Supply is looking for a Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator!
Responsible for loading outbound trucks, unloading and organizing inbound merchandise, and performing general clean-up tasks to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
SCHEDULE
8 a.m - 4:45 p.m. (with a 45-minute lunch)
PAY: $21.00/hr
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Unload building materials from our customers' and suppliers' trucks.
- Put away or stock inbound materials.
- Pull customers' orders from inventory on hand.
- Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
- Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.
- Sweep and clean warehouse and pick up trash.
- Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).
- Assist in counting inventory.
- Checks in merchandise from receiving documentation.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS - Must be able to read and write so that written instructions and shipping papers can be easily followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
- Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
- Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of building materials a plus.

- Frequently walk, sit, stand
- Frequently lift up to 100 lbs.
- Frequently push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Frequently use arm, hand, leg, foot, and grasping motion to operate controls
- Lift, push, or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.
