Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Have a basic understanding of Infection Control and how to eliminate germs from contact surfaces
  • Clean and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the lobby, dining areas, hallways, client rooms, restrooms, and common areas of the facility.
  • Clean and maintain the appearance of the surrounding areas, including the sidewalks and entrance.
  • Remove trash and leaf litter from areas surrounding the building.
  • Cleans all windows (inside and ground floor outside).
  • Cleans all floors and floor coverings (including mopping of wood and tile floors).
  • Deep cleaning of assigned areas including window washing, light fixtures, and elevator.
  • Clean and maintain the back of the house area, including the offices, the laundry room, and employee restrooms.
  • Ensure proper OSHA techniques
  • Have knowledge of Safety Data Sheets and proper handling of chemicals.
  • Be able to manage a cleaning cart when necessary, and ensure the safety and oversight of chemicals for the protection of clients and other staff
  • Get assignments, keys, and special requests from your supervisor at the beginning of your shift.
  • Check and replenish your supplies and cleaning tools.
  • Quickly respond to client requests in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Follow procedures for entering and leaving client rooms
  • Complete training or certifications in Chemical Training, HIPAA, HIV/AIDS, HIPAA, Verbal De-Escalation, Incident Reporting, Infection/STD Risks, HEP B/C, and Abuse, Neglect, Trauma, and Exploitation, Understanding SUD, and any other trainings required by the State or the Joint Commission.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Basic understanding of SUD Treatment services, standards, policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of Chemical Safety, Infection Control, and OSHA requirements
  • Ability to communicate with employees, clients and other individuals in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and to ensure items are cleaned thoroughly.
  • Ability to climb a ladder, change lightbulbs, and clean air vents when required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or 2+years work experience in a hotel, customer service, hospital, or treatment program setting.
  • Valid driver's license and clear driving record approved by insurance carrier.
  • Complete TB screening upon being hired
  • Complete BGS consent and results prior to hire
