Senior Data Engineer

A large healthcare client of ours is seeking a senior data engineer to join their growing data and analytics organization. This role will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data platforms using azure cloud services and snowflake, enabling enterprise reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision making. This is a fully remote role, working standard est business hours. The senior data engineer will architect and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, build enterprise data warehouse and data lake solutions, and ensure the reliability and performance of the organization's cloud-based data platforms. This individual will work cross-functionally with data scientists, bi teams, and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products and operational excellence.

key responsibilities:

• design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using azure services and snowflake
• architect and implement large-scale data warehouse and data lake solutions
• build and manage etl/elt pipelines using azure data factory or similar tools
• support ingestion of both structured and unstructured data sources
• optimize snowflake performance through partitioning, clustering, caching, and query tuning
• implement and maintain data quality, governance, and reliability frameworks
• implement ci/cd pipelines for data engineering workflows
• monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and data pipeline issues
• mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices

compensation: $50-$56 per hour. exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as hsa, fsa, and dcfsa account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
