divh2Evening Custodian/h2pPosition: Evening Custodian/ppDepartment: Finance Administrative Services/ppType of Position: Full-time Hourly/ppExemption Status: Non-Exempt/ppWork Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM, 40 hours per week/ppOpportunity for hybrid schedule: No/ppStarting Salary Range: $15.34-$18.61 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume./ppPosition Summary: Conduct custodial duties and perform daily cleaning tasks, contributing to maintaining a clean environment for students, staff, faculty, and visitors to Johnson County Community College (JCCC)./ppRequired Qualifications:/pulliPerform routine cleaning and sanitizing duties./liliDuties may include dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming./liliEnsure equipment is cleaned and stored following use./liliReplenish products and supplies in assigned area./liliAlert appropriate personnel concerning the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems./liliNotify supervisor of need to order various cleaning supplies and equipment./liliRemove and dispose of debris or trash./liliMay perform basic maintenance and repair duties, including outside grounds work as required./liliRequires a High School Diploma/li/ulpPosition Details:/ppJob duties include but are not limited to:/pulliPerform various cleaning duties across the campus, such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning, and sanitizing to ensure campus buildings, classrooms, offices, and common areas are well-maintained and presentable./liliClean and sanitize restrooms and re-stock supplies as needed./liliEmpty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of trash or debris into compactors and/or dumpsters. Bag trash for proper disposal according to established procedures./liliWipe down and sanitize windows, desks, and other surface areas./liliAssist with the setup and breakdown of campus events and meetings. Set up and take down tables and chairs and clean the event areas after attendees depart./liliAssist with office moves and rearranging furniture./liliFollow established safety protocols and ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment, chemicals, and supplies. Ensure equipment is cleaned and stored following use./liliPromote and seek to continuously improve workplace safety and environmental practices./liliShovel and remove snow and ice in doorways and entrances to enhance the accessibility of campus grounds for students, faculty, staff, and visitors./liliReport any areas or equipment that require maintenance or repair to the appropriate personnel./liliReplenish products and supplies in assigned areas. Notify supervisor of the need to order various cleaning supplies and equipment./liliDisplay a courteous attitude to enhance the positive and welcoming atmosphere at JCCC./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpTo be considered for this position we will require an application and resume.
