Resurrection has an opening for a First Impressions Coordinating Assistant in our Locations division! The position is full-time, non-exempt and is located at the Leawood campus at 13720 Roe Ave. Please see below for a full job description.

Job Summary

The First Impressions Coordinating Assistant serves as the church's first point of contact and embodies hospitality, ensuring every interaction reflects positively on the church. This role requires excellent telephone and written communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion to create a radically hospitable environment.

Position-Specific

  • Assist callers, walk-ins, and email inquiries by serving as the church's first point of contact. Answering questions, providing information, and offering assistance with a positive and friendly attitude. Including general inquiries that come through the website.
  • Respond to all emails, voicemails and inquiries within a 4-hour period during the workweek (Monday-Friday).
  • Recruit, train, develop, and schedule hospitality volunteers to staff the information desks in each building at our Leawood location.
  • Sort and distribute mail and locate and retrieve packages as necessary.
  • Prepare and send emails to all staff regarding announcements, news and updates each Monday and Thursday.
  • Populate and update the Leawood Location loop slides daily to ensure classes and events are listed correctly, including time and room information.
  • Aid staff and volunteers using the workroom equipment, including copy, mail, and folding machines.
  • Create and print baptism certificates each week for all locations and special baptisms.
  • Order supplies for office areas through the Leawood location.
  • Print baptism certificates each week, as needed, for all locations.
  • Stay current on each location's events and communications to assist with questions and logistics.
  • Assist the Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 years of reception and/or general administrative experience.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both over the phone, in writing, and in person.
  • Proven Results in strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other basic computer applications.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing exceptional service.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, or pull 35 lbs.


Work Environment

This position is in a professional office setting and involves sitting at a front desk for extended periods. The role requires regular use of office equipment and computers. Interaction with employees and visitors is frequent and high-volume, requiring a friendly, energetic demeanor.
