Responsibilities
Summary: We are proud to announce the establishment of a state-of-the-art Li-ion battery factory, set amidst the beautiful Kansas City Metro. This groundbreaking green-field factory will serve as a pioneering hub for innovation in sustainable energy solutions.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.
Position Summary: PECNA is looking to fill the position of Facilities Operations Tech - Level 5. As a key member of the facilities operations team, you will leverage your technical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and enhance critical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong technical skills, and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Essential Duties:
Operations & Equipment
Perform system rounds, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems with moderate supervision.
Respond rapidly as First Responder for operational needs in manufacturing areas.
Assess and resolve utility outages.
Operate and maintain all relevant tools and equipment.
Vendor, Contractor, and Tenant Coordination
Ensure vendors, contractors, and tenants comply with PENA work rules.
Coordinate regularly with Engineering, Construction, and PECNA Tenants.
System Knowledge & Technical Skills
Maintain intermediate knowledge for all listed electrical/mechanical systems.
Skilled in multiple mechanical/technical trades with HVAC journeyman/mechanic preferred.
Proficient in measuring devices, Microsoft Office Suite, blueprint reading, and technical documentation.
Maintenance, Records, and Procedures
Keep thorough maintenance records, work orders, and CMMS documentation.
Create, approve, and follow MOPs and Job Safety Analysis.
Compliance & Safety
Uphold safety and company regulations.
Maintain clean, organized workspaces meeting 6S standards.
Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and specifications.
Collaboration & Training
Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
Train others at the same or lower level.
Maintain flexibility to work all scheduled shifts.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education
Required: High school diploma, GED or 2 years of prior experience in functional area
Preferred : Related Trade school/vocational graduate; 2 years of trade school or equivalent
Essential Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of related work experience.
Intermediate knowledge and work experience in Utility Generation and Distribution (e.g. steam, water, air), Mechanical (e.g. HVAC, piping/plumbing, pneumatic) or Electrical (e.g. low or medium voltage, instrumentation, controls) systems in an industrial manufacturing facility environment
Effective oral and written communication skills and willingness to work on a team
Flexibility and a strong self-initiative are critical
Electrical Safety in the Workplace
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of related work experience.
Experience in mechanical engineering or construction management
Experience utilizing a scheduling software

Preferred License(s):
