Overview

The merchandising & stocking associate role supports Sams Club members by keeping shelves stocked, organized, and ready for quick, easy shopping. Responsibilities may include moving inventory, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick-up orders, and assisting members while stocking shelves. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding role that can involve seasonal or daily backroom work. The hourly wage range is $16.00 to $23.00; actual pay is based on skills and experience and may be complemented by performance-based aspects.

Responsibilities

• Promptly unloading trucks
• Assisting fellow associates as needed throughout the store
• Sorting and stocking products on shelves and in the backroom
• Engaging with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
• Maintaining a clean, neat, and member-ready area
• Ensuring club pick-up orders are filled and staged according to policy

What youll do

• Provide member service by identifying member needs, guiding self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services
• Maintain facility safety by conducting safety checks, forklift procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe conditions
• Maintain sales floor and merchandise presentation by zoning, stocking, organizing displays, pricing, and identifying shrink
• Ensure product quality through rotation, dating, recalls, and sanitation standards; display promotional and seasonal merchandise
• Collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners to complete tasks and address improvement opportunities
• Support other processes such as labeling, signing, and pricing according to company policies
