A Receiving Clerk position is currently open at our Olathe, KS location. Career opportunities may be available to full-time employees.
Objectives:
To be an integral part of our "behind-the-scenes" operation. Our ideal candidate takes pleasure in solving problems, is able to work under pressure, and enjoys being part of a team. Teamwork at Sutherlands means participating in team decisions, maintaining good working relationships and supporting both coworkers and our business goals.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Unload Freight Trucks
- Operate Forklifts, Pallet Jacks and Banding equipment
- Accurately count received items and compare to original orders
- Scan/Key orders into Computer System
- Prepare and arrange outgoing shipments as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Oversee Vendor RGA claims
- Cross train to fill in other departments when needed
- Work a typical 8am-5pm Monday - Friday schedule
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a high school education/GED and 1+ years of experience or the equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training. Experience is preferred, but not necessary.
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Pass initial and random drug screens
- Have a friendly and outgoing personality
- Be able to lift 95 lbs. without assistance
- Be detail oriented
- Be dependable, motivated, hardworking and honest
