We are located at the Gardner exit (I-35 & 175th) at 27080 159th St., New Century, KS 66031.
About the position
Your starting pay is $35.30 per hour and you earn more with shift premiums. Maintenance Mechanics work 12 hour shifts and workdays are on rotation with every other weekend off.

About the Role
Above all, the Maintenance Mechanic is to work safely by observing all safety rules, including proper utilization of lock out tag out. A Maintenance Mechanic maintains and fixes machinery that processes margarine and spreads in the plant. This includes trouble shooting and repairing processing and packaging equipment utilizing World Class Manufacturing methods of continuous improvement. The Maintenance Mechanic is also responsible for performing preventative maintenance and completing work orders.
Desired Qualifications
- Capable of working within a highly effective team; responsible, supportive and able communicator.
- Knowledge of standard and metric hand tools, including Allen wrenches, box end wrenches, pliers, and screwdrivers.
- Experience with power tools such as drills and saws.
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Awareness of how to use performance measures to identify and prioritize losses in production area.
- Able to provide descriptions of problems and provide monitoring of process or line issues.
- Capable of utilizing appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials products and equipment relevant to the tasks in work area.
- Actively contributes to the safe working environment, to include the completion of SBO's.
- Licensed operation of powered industrial vehicles.
- Understands and adheres to color code.
- Capable of maintaining continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
