Overview
Lead business development within the assigned geographic territory to meet organizational revenue goals and diversify donor support. Identify and develop corporate relationships to support corporate philanthropic giving and/or corporate social responsibility initiatives (e.g., cause-marketing campaigns, employee engagement, in-kind support, co-branding) to maximize awareness and revenue impact for the American Red Cross.
Where the role is located
Division covers the Southwest and Rocky Mountain regions. Preference for candidates residing in Dallas, TX or Austin, TX (or surrounding areas). Travel 25-40% across the region and potential locations. This is a 100% remote role with a strong preference for Dallas/Austin residents; relocation is not available.
Responsibilities
- Implement an overall fundraising strategy managing an assigned donor portfolio to maximize revenue and engage donors in the mission. portfolios typically include complex corporate solicitations with high capacity; transition accounts to relationship managers after programmatic support is established.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue from primarily corporate accounts with significant capacity.
- Identify and leverage relationships with C-suite contacts. Secure meetings, present proposals, and directly solicit to cultivate and grow relationships.
- Collaborate with other departments and development staff at national/regional offices to prepare proposals aligned with donor/prospect objectives.
- Compile and analyze data about accounts to inform solicitation strategy.
- Salary information: $106,000$130,000 per year.
What you need to succeed
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of fundraising, sales, or marketing experience in a large organization or equivalent.
- Skills: Valid drivers license and good driving record; ability to identify and solicit large revenue accounts; strong organizational, analytical, and presentation skills; ability to manage projects and meet deadlines; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; proficiency with PC applications and databases; ability to work in a team.
- Travel: 2540% travel may be required.
