The Manager, Engineering is responsible for overseeing the design, architecture, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a software development team by fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution of key engineering projects, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements.
- Provide technical leadership to help shape the architecture, design, and implementation of software systems, adhering to engineering best practices, including code quality, automation testing, and documentation.
- Continuously assess and improve engineering processes, from development workflows to deployment pipelines.
- Work closely with solution managers, designers, and other engineering leaders to define project requirements aligned with business goals and address blockers or technical challenges.
- Set clear goals for team members, conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for skill development and career growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- At least 4-6 years of relevant work experience
- At least 0-1 years of relevant management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python and Django for developing RESTful APIs
- Development experience with AWS or GCP
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
Job Expectations:
- Willingness to work additional or irregular hours as needed
- Adherence to security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
- Ability to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods
