Construction Tools & Technology Specialist

Functions in our group include safety, project field management, construction management, quality control, start up and decommissioning and field engineering.

The Tools & Construction Technology Specialist will be accountable for supporting the maintenance, implementation, and continuous improvement of construction tools and technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support assessment and continuous improvements of tools and technology to support construction
  • Collection and application of best practices and lessons learned
  • Travel to projects for setup and support
  • Understand Black & Veatch IT standards to support compliance with IT processes for technology
  • Demonstrate and communicate technology benefits to external and internal clients, including development of training material, presentations, and multimedia formats
  • Support coordination of technology efforts across Black & Veatch divisions

Management responsibilities include acting in capacity of a "lead person." Does not have management responsibility for the people to whom they provide work direction.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Related Field (preferred)
  • Experience: 4 - 6 years of relevant construction experience.
  • Working knowledge of construction work practices.
  • Working knowledge of construction processes & procedures.
  • Some related open shop and/or union experience required.

Minimum qualifications include all applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
