Now Hiring: Field Technician Assistant in Spring Hill, KS | M–F, Full-Time Dayshift

Are you looking for a physically active, mentally engaging career—not just a job? Full Service Chimney is hiring Field Technician Assistants to help repair, and rebuild fireplaces and chimneys.

This is full-time, year-round work outdoors, on ladders and roofs, in all weather conditions. You'll receive paid training from day one, with the opportunity to join our nationally recognized Registered Apprenticeship Program, become a Construction Project Leader Apprentice within your first 6 months, and grow into a certified technician—with continued advancement into leadership roles over time.

Job Duties:

• Assist with chimney and fireplace repairs, maintenance, and installations
• Climb ladders, work on scaffolding and rooftops
• Use hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment
• Follow company safety protocols and procedures
• Learn technical codes and best practices over time

What We're Looking For:

• Good math skills and ability to read a tape measure
• Strong work ethic and physical stamina
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable with heights
• Positive attitude and a team-first mindset
• Reliable transportation to/from Spring Hill, KS

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Willing to submit to a background check and drug screening
• Able to pass aptitude and physical fitness assessments
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Physically capable of:
• Lifting 60–80 lbs regularly
• Climbing ladders with a load capacity rating of up to 250 lbs
• Working on scaffolding and rooftops for extended periods
• Able to reliably commute to Spring Hill, KS (or willing to relocate)

Benefits

Compensation Package

Pay:

• Compensation begins at $55,000 annually
• Entry-level field assistants typically earn around $20/hour
• Final starting wage is negotiated at hire and may exceed $20/hr based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, trade skills, or military service
• Opportunities for income growth as you gain skills, earn certifications, and take on advanced roles
