DIRECT HIRE | Applications Engineer | Overland Park, KS

Anindustrial equipment manufacturer seeks an Applications Engineer to support sales quotations and system design. This role focuses on pneumatic conveying and material handling solutions.

**Client is open to candidates based in western US states that can work remotely (Phoenix, Salt Lake, Denver preferred)**

Anticipated Pay/Benefits:

• Anticipate $95K-$115K+
• Bonus and potential commission opportunities (OTE could be $140K+, all in)
• Benefits: Insurance, 401K, PTO (standard per company policy)
• Schedule: M–F, flexible; initial training in Lenexa if remote

Responsibilities:

• Establish performance guidelines and environmental/product parameters for system designs.
• Design, size, troubleshoot, and cost pneumatic conveying systems for bulk material handling.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and purchasing to identify solutions and specs.
• Use Excel and internal tools for system sizing, costing, and quotations; log in Salesforce.
• Balance multiple projects and quotations, ensuring successful/profitable applications.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering/Design
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with pneumatic conveying system design.
• Proficient in Excel and Word, AutoCAD and CRM/ERP platforms
  
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills.
• Open to initial training in Kansas City if remote (west U.S. preferred: Phoenix, Salt Lake, Denver).

Compensation:
$95,000-$115,000 per year
