Description:

The Shipping Associate plays a vital role in the final stage of the production and fulfillment process. This individual is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely shipment of all customer orders, utilizing major shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS) while maintaining detailed shipment records in ShipStation and Finale. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working collaboratively to meet shipping deadlines and service-level agreements (SLAs).

This is a non-customer-facing role that requires close coordination with the Post Press Inspection team, Press Operators, and management to ensure smooth, efficient, and error-free shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing & Shipping: Package and ship orders using FedEx, UPS, and USPS while adhering to company and carrier guidelines.
  • Documentation & Inventory Management: Record all shipments in ShipStation and Finale, ensuring proper documentation for domestic and international shipments, including customs forms.
  • Order Staging & Packaging: Retrieve staged orders from the Post Press Inspection team, verify accuracy, and package them for shipment.
  • Issue Reporting & Resolution: Communicate shipping delays, discrepancies, or logistical concerns to the Warehouse Manager to prevent customer impact.
  • SLA Compliance: Work with Press Operators and Post Press Inspection teams to meet fulfillment timelines.
  • Coordination with Customer Support: Provide tracking information, shipment updates, and issue alerts for seamless customer communication.
  • Process Improvement & Team Collaboration: Contribute to refining shipping workflows and inventory accuracy to improve fulfillment efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Experience with shipping or inventory management software (ShipStation, Finale) preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate shipment records, work efficiently under deadlines, and manage multiple shipments.
  • Effective communication skills for coordination with internal teams.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements.
  • No specific education requirements; training provided for the right candidate.
  • This role is suitable for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, logistics-driven environment and enjoys ensuring orders are accurate and timely.
