*Key Responsibilities ** Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable* Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment* Take dental radiographs (x-rays)* Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment* Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures* Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health

Qualifications* Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify* X-ray certification where state regulations specify

*Working Environment & Physical Requirements *

This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
