About This Role

K-State's Office of Student Financial Assistance within the Enrollment Management division seeks applicants for the Scholarship Coordinator position. This role manages the awarding of scholarships funded by the K-State Foundation. Close collaboration with scholarship administrators across colleges and departments is essential, as scholarship offers are made centrally and de-centrally. The incumbent will oversee the use and development of the K-State Scholarship Network (KSN), leveraging Blackbaud's Award Management system. The position also involves improving processing efficiencies through system integrations with university student systems such as Oracle Campus Solutions (KSIS) and the CRM system.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Serving as the expert in KSN functionality and leading integration efforts between KSN and KSIS.
  2. Developing and testing system enhancements to foster integration between KSN and other student systems.
  3. Supporting and training scholarship administrators across the university.
  4. Establishing scholarship awarding timelines aligned with enrollment management best practices.
  5. Counseling students on scholarship opportunities.
  6. Responding to inquiries regarding KSN navigation and availability.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • One to three years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience with accounting tasks such as reconciliation
  • 2-3 years of experience with third-party higher education student systems (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft, Powerfaids)
  • Proven ability to collaborate across business units
  • Customer service experience with complex regulatory/policy explanations
  • Experience in training or presentations to small-medium audiences
  • Experience designing, testing, and generating business reports or data extraction
  • Exposure to large post-secondary institutions
  • Understanding of federal Title IV student aid regulations

Other Requirements:

  • Must not be in default on federal student loans or owe overpayments on federal aid grants.
